Norma Jean Beck's Obituary
Norma Jean Beck, 73, of Tuscola, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield.
Norma was born October 3, 1934, in Villa Grove, the daughter of Charles and Nina Shunk Akers. She was a homemaker and a member of Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Tuscola. Norma married Lawrence E. Beck May 5, 1951 in St. Louis, MO.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Tuscola; daughters: Katherine Rev. Jimmy Rice of Sun City West, AZ, and Delana D. Johnnie Mann of Indianapolis, IN; sisters: Alice Bud Brandon of Oakley, and Charlotte Carl Soard of Camargo; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; sister-in-law. Zelda Akers of Villa Grove; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elizabeth Marie, and one brother Ted.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Monday, March 3, 2008 at Forty Martyrs Catholic Church, Tuscola. Visitation will be one hour before the mass at the church. Burial will be in Camargo Cemetery.
