Norma Jean Carter, 84, of Decatur went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 9, 2010, in St. Louis, MO.
Norma was born April 3, 1926 in Decatur the daughter of Enoch and Lillie Castell Foster. She married Denver Wayne Carter on March 7, 1946. He preceded her in death in July 1991. She was a member of West Decatur Church of God.
Surviving are her children, Linda husband Kenneth Norman of Macon; Sue and husband Don Counts of Leadwood, MO; David Connie Carter of Decatur; Gary and Virginia Carter of Decatur; Steve Carter of St. Peters, MO; 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Robert and wife Carol Foster of Decatur, sister, Mary Davis of Inglewood, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, and 8 sisters.
Funeral service celebrating Norma's life will be 10:00 am Tuesday April 13, 2010 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to West Decatur Church of God Missionary Fund.
