My prayers and condolences to the family.
God Bless Everyone. May God Blessings be upon family, friends, & associates. I pray to God, in Jesus' Name, that God's Love, Joy, & Peace fill the rooms and our hearts forevermore and give us strength now and forevermore with fond memories of Norman Carney, Amen.
"Carney" as some of us called him, was one of my best friends. We grew up in the same neighborhood. So many fond memories. Too many to tell, but...
1) He could piece together a bike from spare parts and only having one bike, he would drive the bike with me sitting on the handlebars, & Phil Fonville on the seat and he had enough strength to ride us to various parts of town.
2) Between him, Phil, James Coleman, Jessie Coleman, myself, and others, we invented the snack now called "Trail Mix" Each of us purchased chips of various kind, Cheetos & cheese popcorn, etc, from my mother's store and one day we decided to pour all our snacks into one big brown paper bag & we shared the mix between us. I could go on and on with stories during our childhood.
There's one thing Carney did in his life that I really admired and wished I could have participated in...., hunting. After returning home from one of his hunting trips, I came to his house, and he showed me how to clean a rabbit. And it happens to be one of my favorite foods. My mother would fix rabbit and smother in gravy, Oh my gosh!!!

Losing a sibling is tough. What lightens the burden is knowing that passing is a transition that everyone will experience, I take solace in know that the people I care about are waiting for me to join them on the other side of life. RIP Brother.
