Norman Keith Hoff's Obituary
Norman Hoff, 79, of Decatur, passed away on March 2, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Norman was born on January 16, 1942 in Clinton, IL the son of Ollie V. and Grace K. Snyder. Norman married Margaret A. Manning on February 23, 1963 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. Margaret, his loving wife of 58 years survives. Norman is also survived by his 2 sons: Brian Hoff of Decatur; Mike (Brenda) Hoff of Clinton; 2 daughters: Pamela Hoff of Decatur; Julie (Sean) Clark of Decatur; 12 grandchildren: Kayla, Keith, Jordan, Joseph, Brianna, Madison, Trevone (Laura), Stefone, Tyler, Ciara, Jacob, and Alaina; 4 great-grandchildren: Takaila, Joslyn, Daxtyn, and Kinsley; 1 brother: Dennis Hoff of Clinton. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Ronald Hoff.
Norman was a US Navy Veteran. He was a welder for Caterpillar, retiring after 32 years of service. Norman loved to go camping, hunting, and fishing. He will be missed by his loving family.
Services to celebrate Norman’s life will be at 1pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Decatur. Visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Mary Queen of Angels Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, with military honors provided by the Macon County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Care Center of Decatur. CDC guidelines will be followed, and masks are required for those in attendance.
