DAVIS OBITUARY
Opal L. Pirtle Davis was born February 18, 1935 in Whiteville, TN. The daughter of Ed and Lillie Allen Pirtle and on Tuesday June 28, 2005 God called her home.
Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 11 am Saturday in Greater Mount Olive M. B. Church, where Rev. Oliver Johnson will be officiating. Visitation will be from 9-11 am Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park immediately following services. Opal was a member of the Greater Mount Olive M.B. Church. She served on the Usher Board and was on the Mother's Board. She married Willie Davis on November 20, 1956. She leaves not to mourn but to cherish her memories her loving husband Willie Davis, four daughters: Emily Taylor of Decatur, IL, Vanessa Jerry Bracey of Milwaukee, WI, Lillie Shaquon Tyriq of Memphis, TN and Detra Davis of Canton, MI, three sons Chris Davis of Springfield, IL, Willie Mary Davis of Memphis, TN and Paul Davis of Decatur, IL, 10 grandchildren, Kia, Kevin, Jeremy, Kendra, Leandra, Shalynn, Tyler, Brianna, Ashley and Akin; six great-grandchildren, Jateri, Ikeira, Courtney, Rainey, Nashaun and Devin. Also three sisters Lucille Bridgewater of Memphis, TN, Elizabeth Percy McGill of Ann Arbor, MI, Earlene Edmond Taylor of Saginaw, MI, sister-in-laws Mae Francis Pirtle of Grand Rapids, MI, Molly Pirtle of Brownsville, TN, Ida Nicholson and Vunner Pirtle of Decatur, IL, and a host of nieces and nephews and close friends.
