Orville E. Lofland's Obituary
Orville E. Lofland, 94, of Decatur died December 27, 2009 in Aspen ridge Care Centre.
Orville was born on May 23, 1915 in Jim Town, IL the son of James and Mary Lemmons Lofland. He was a member of Boiling Springs Church of God and a Sunday School teacher. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was the first President of the Coon Hunters Club in Illinois. He was a very avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed splitting wood and gardening. He married Pauline Barbee on August 23, 1938 she preceded him in death on September 21, 2008.
Surviving are sons, Kenneth Lofland of Long Creek; Russell Lofland Darlene of Rosemond; Jeff Lofland of Macon; daughters, Vivian Ewing Don of Cedar Hill, MO; Bonnie Craft Hughie of Blue Mound; Janet Lofland of Decatur; Cheryl Miller of Decatur; 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sons, Richard and Tommy, two brothers, one sister, one step-sister, and one step-brother.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday December 31, 2009 in Boiling Springs Church of God with Pastor Keith Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service in the church. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
