Patricia A McNeil's Obituary
Patricia A.(Hayman Coty) McNeil, 79, of Mt. Zion, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital. Pat was born October 10, 1933 in Danville, IL, the daughter of John and Lottie (Molenda) Hayman. She married Don McNeil in 1983; he preceded her in death in 1996 after thirteen wonderful years of marriage. As a young woman she worked for the FBI in Washington D.C.; served in the accounting division for the County of Wayne, MI; was appointed Executive Secretary at Windbreaker in Danville, and moved to Tucson, AZ after retiring from the Lauhoff Grain accounting department in Danville in 1994. After Don's death, she returned to Illinois in the spring of 1995 to be closer to family.
She is survived by her daughter Ginger (Coty) Evans and husband Ron of rural Decatur, grandsons Daniel (Erin) of Bloomington, IL , Phillip Matthew (Catherine) of Saint Louis, MO, and Kenneth (fiancée Laura Nicklaus) of Peoria, IL/Davenport IA, as well as her sister Virginia Hayman of Mt. Zion.
Pat's hobbies included watercolor painting, embroidery, ceramics, and her pets. Pat loved spending time with her family and conversing with people.
Funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church on Friday, October 26 at 11 am. Visitation will immediately follow (noon-1:00 PM).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ASPCA and Homeward Bound Shelter.
