Patricia Kerrigan "Pat" Delatte's Obituary
Patricia Kerrigan ‘Pat’ Delatte, 73, of Decatur, died on Thursday, September 25, 2003 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be at 7 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2003 in Holy Family Catholic Church, visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to: St. Teresa Building Fund, Children’s Museum of Illinois, or Scovill Children’s Zoo.
Pat was born on March 15, 1930 in New Orleans, LA. The daughter of Edward A. and Josephine Decaux Kerrigan. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Garden Club of Decatur, Sons and Daughters of Ireland, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Pat and her husband Richard L. Delatte, Jr. were contributing benefactors of the Children̢۪s Museum of Illinois and St. Teresa High School. She graduated from Redemptorist Boys and Girls High School in New Orleans and then attended Newcomb University in New Orleans. She married Richard L. Delatte, Jr. on June 06, 1953 in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Orleans. Mr. and Mrs. Delatte celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 08, 2003 by renewing their wedding vows and being the guests of honor at a reception held at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Surviving are her husband; sons: Richard L. wife, Michele Delatte, III of Decatur; Daniel E. wife, Lisa Delatte of Decatur; Joseph G. wife, CherylDelatte of Virginia Beach, VA; daughters: Faith Ann husband, Paul Bishop of Decatur; Mary Ellen husband, Phil Rous of Peoria; sisters: Mercedes Himel and June husband, John Curry all of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren: Christopher wife, Tiffany, Michael, Jeffrey, Ryan, Kyle, Patrick, Colleen, Allison, Mallory, Sean, Kathleen, and Sydney; great granddaughter Alyssa; many nieces,nephews, cousins, and friends.
Her parents and one sisters preceded her in death.
