Patricia Mary Tomlinson's Obituary
Decatur – Patricia Mary (Clark) Tomlinson, 77, of Decatur, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 28, 2024, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 11th, 1946, in Charles City, IA to Robert Francis Clark and Mary Catherine (Rottinghaus) Clark. She married Rudy Niemeyer in 1980. Then in 1993, she married the love of her life, Rick Tomlinson.
Pat started her career in production control at A. W. Cash Valve and continued there for 30 years. She then worked at Wagner Castings, finishing out her career at Barton Manufacturing. Pat had a great love of animals and adopted many of her pets from the Human Society, where she had also volunteered. She was always wanting to help those in need, which led her to volunteer at Oasis Day Center for several years. Pat loved being outdoors in the sun, no matter the occasion. She found great joy in her garden at home, going to the pool with her grandchildren, and boating with her family. Being with her grandchildren at all their activities while they were growing up brought her tremendous joy. She never missed a moment to talk about them and her children, as they were the light of her life and what she was most proud of.
Surviving are her children: LeAnne Terneus and Jeff Tomlinson (Nikki); Son-in-Law, Dan Terneus (her favorite); bonus daughter, Rachelle Frazier; grandchildren, Mason, Owen and Addyson Terneus; bonus grandchildren, Erin Henne, Taylor George, and Luke Perkinson; Siblings, Larry Clark (Carol Doehr), Marlene Moran, Connie (Terry) Metzger, Danny (Julie) Clark, Mary Lou (Mark) Walker, Donna (Joe) Cannon and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Dan Crotser, Rudy Niemeyer and Rick Tomlinson and stepson Sean Tomlinson.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9am, until the time of the funeral at 10am, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers (she hated cut flowers), donations can be made to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.moranandgoebel.com.
