Paul Baker's Obituary
Paris-Paul Earl Baker, 66 of Paris, IL, passed away 9:30 am Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Twin Lakes Rehab & Healthcare in Paris.
Paul was born on April 20, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN the son of Roy Angus and Geraldine Owens Baker. Paul was employed for several years as a chef for a hospital in Florida. He enjoyed taking road trips, going fishing and he was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
Paul married Beverly Hopper and they later divorced after parenting two children. He married Patty Gill on March 11, 2000 in Redmon, IL.
Paul is survived by his wife Patty Baker of Paris, IL; children Jeremy Shane Baker of West Palm Beach, FL and Melissa Dawn Baker and husband Pete Salgado of Tallahassee, FL; three loving grandchildren Larissa Lopez, Alex Salgado and Selena Salgado; his sister Marilyn Turman of Terre Haute, IN; and his brother Gerald Baker of Tallahassee, FL.
Paul was reunited in Heaven by his parents and his 10 siblings.
Services to celebrate Paul’s life will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 16362 N. 2300 E, Chrisman, IL. Visitation will be from 9 – 11:00 am Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Reed Sugar Grove Cemetery near the church. Memorial donations may be directed to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.
