Paul Crownover's Obituary
Paul Crownover, 71, of Niantic passed away on Saturday March 26, 2011 in Altoona Health Systems, Altoona, PA.
Paul was born on September 11, 1939 in Miami, OK the son of Elmon Kelly and Mary Pauline Thornburgh Crownover. He was a Mason, a member of the Sons of the American Legion, and a member of the Harley Owner’s Group. He worked as truck driver and was an owner operator of a truck escort company. He married Debra Bratsch Crawford on July 9, 2007 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife Debra; daughters, Paula William Terry of Tennessee; Pamela Tisdale of east Moline; Patricia Thompson Larry of East Moline; Penny Scott Mark of Kansas; Peggy Mason of Hamilton; adopted sons, Joe Mc Caffery Karen and Adam Mc Murray Kim both of Pennsylvania; sisters, Gayle Wipple Gary of Galesburg; Mary Kay Johnson Michael of North Dakota; Aleta Carmack Mark of Michigan; 10 step children; 34 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren. He was very well loved by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Janet Velora Gustason; and friend, Michael Hoadley.
Visitation will be 1:00 ' 2:00 pm Saturday, April 2, 2011 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Funeral service celebrating Paul’s life will be 2:00 pm in the funeral home with “Last Ride Motorcycle Hearse Ceremonial Procession” to Illini Cemetery for burial. Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family. A dinner will be served after the service in the Community of Christ Church, 5655 Union School road, Decatur.
