Paul Wayne Fear's Obituary
Paul Wayne Fear, 88, of Forsyth, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side.
Paul Wayne was born June 18, 1928, in Newton, IL to Joseph John and Elizabeth Agnes (Schedlbauer) Fear. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He married Ruth Maginn on October 3, 1953, in Ste. Marie, IL. He was a cabinet finisher for GE for many years and later worked for the Herald & Review. Paul Wayne was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, an avid walker around the Forsyth Park with a final chart documented of 33,000 miles and a devout Cardinals fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth; one son, Jerry (Becky) Fear of Warrensburg; two daughters, Janet (Toby Penny) Greene and Lori (Marty) Seaberg both of Forsyth; four grandchildren, Cassie Fear, Jeremy Fear, Rachael (Chris) Fletcher and Chris Fear; one great-granddaughter, MacKenzie Fear; one brother, James (Fran) Fear of Oreana; one sister, Mary Kay Eyer of Carlinville; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve Fear; one grandson, Timothy Fear; four brothers and two sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday before the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Illiopolis. Memorials may be directed to Our Lady of Lourdes or Donor’s Choice.
