Paul M. Hogan's Obituary
Mr. Hogan, a lifelong farmer, was born in Decatur on October 21, 1929, a son of Charles and Ella Tomlinson Hogan. Paul served the public as Macon County Clerk from 1980 thru 1992, and a member of the Macon County Board from 1971 thru 1980, he was a past member of the Mt. Zion School Board, Mt. Zion Township Commissioner and past member of Catholic Charities Board in Decatur. Paul was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Macon, fourth degree member of Knights of Colombus Very Reverend Jeremiah J. Murphy Assembly, Elks Lodge #401, American Legion Castle Williams Post #105, Moose lodge # 684, and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Paul married Patricia A. Conlin on August 29, 1953 in Arcola.
Surviving are his wife of Macon; daughters: Paula Hirstein, husband Warner of Decatur; Pam Craft, husband Brad of Decatur; Patty Powers of Normal; Jan Adams, husband Ken of Independence, MO; sons: Phil Hogan, wife Jeanne of Dalton City; Tom Hogan, wife Teri of Dalton City; Mike Hogan, wife Janet of Dalton City; Chris Hogan, wife Bridget of Decatur; brothers: Raymond Hogan, wife Barbara of Mt. Zion; Bob Hogan, wife Ann of Mt. Zion; John Hogan, wife Madonna of Paris; Don Hogan, wife Jean of Divernon; Vic Hogan, wife Marty of Monticello; Dan Hogan, wife Judy of Macon; sister: Josephine Fogarty, husband John of Mobile, AL.; 22 grandchildren; one great grandson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His parents; two brothers, Ed and Wayne and one sister Rosemary preceded him in death.
