Paul A. Scherer's Obituary
Decatur – Paul A. Scherer, 58, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Paul was born in Decatur, IL, June 30, 1959, the son of Robert and Helen Shirlene (Freeman) Scherer. He worked as a union carpenter and was a member of the NRA and Carpenters Union Local #270.
Surviving are his children: Adrienne (Allen) Janke and Caitlin (Chris) Ciulla; grandchildren: Austin and Adair; fiancé, Linda Fleckenstein; siblings: Mark (Sandee) Scherer, Brad (Kathy) Scherer, Susan Irwin and Amy (Phil) Tapscott; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2018, from 3 pm until the time of the funeral liturgy at 4 pm at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois.
