Pauline Helen Butler's Obituary
Pauline Helen Butler, 88, of Decatur, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 23, 2003 in her home.
Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Wednesday, August 27, 2003 in Macon County Memorial Park, Rev. Don Horath officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 12:30 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Pauline was born in Decatur on June 29, 1915 the daughter of Leslie Walter and Wanetta Allen Mathias. She worked as a seamstress at the Decatur Garment Factory, she then worked at the Signal Depot, and managed the Butler Rental Bureau. Being an excellent seamstress, Pauline won several awards for her outstanding quilt work. She attended Decatur Foursquare Church where she was a member of the Ambassador Class. She married Charles Butler on July 03, 1957 in Springfield.
Surviving are her husband of Decatur; son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Naomi Boneham of Escondido, CA.; step-sons: Phillip Elaine Butler of Beason; Larry Carol Butler of Goodland, KS.; Rick Diane Butler of North Carolina; sisters: Dorothy Clark of Decatur; Ruby Graham of Fountain, CO.; grandchildren: Michelle William Todd of Temecula, CA.; John Carol Gifford of Decatur; Patty Stovall of Orlando, FL.; Randy Gould of Salinas, KS.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leslie Mathias, Jr.; daughter, Janet Gould; and great grandson, Jonathan Gifford.
