Philip G. Fornwalt 72 of Decatur Died Wednesday July 26, 2006 in his Home
Funeral services celebrating Philip's life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday July 29, 2006 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday in the funeral home. Burial will be Maroa Township Cemetery.
Philip was born on July 16, 1934 in Decatur the son of Guy W. and Flora B. Smith Fornwalt. He worked as a mechanic for D & D Marathon for over fifty years. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a Dale Earnhardt Fan. He married Lois Mattingly she survives.
Surviving are his wife Lois, sons, Rick Fornwalt Patty of Macon; Philip Fornwalt Jr. of Shawnee; daughters, G. Sue Sides Charles of Forsyth; Barbara Clifton Earl of Decatur; step-sons, John McNamara Wendy of Decatur; J. Brent McNamara Julie of Cerro Gordo; J. Dale McNamara Dee of Oakley; step-daughters, Tina Scott Rick of Iowa; Kanessa Douglas Chauncy of Decatur; brother, Donald Paul Fornwalt of California; sisters, Laura Lea Byers of Decatur; Nellie Fornwalt of Forsyth; Lila Fornwalt of Forsyth; nineteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister.
