Phyllis Mae Swearingen's Obituary
Phyllis M. Swearingen 83 of Decatur died Wednesday August 11, 2004 in Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
Phyllis was a Garment work for many years in Decatur. She was born in East Saint Louis and moved to Benton, IL In her early years, a place she loved and always thought about and spoke of all the good times and memories she still had. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She leaves behind a son, James Swearingen and wife Patricia of Harristown, daughters Patricia Garner and husband Gary of Decatur, Connie "Martha" Troye of Terre Haute, In. She also has 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandson.
Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements of their loved one. Visitation will be from 2-2:30 pm Friday August 13, 2004 in the funeral home, graveside services will be held at 3 pm Friday August 13, 2004 in Graceland Cemetery. Her parents, two sons, two brothers, and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
