Rachel Joann Stanley's Obituary
Decatur-Rachel Joann Stanley, 68, of Decatur, passed away Monday, January 6, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Rachel was born December 16, 1945 in Decatur, the daughter of William and Joann (Smart) Casey. She was a member of the Salvation Army and enjoyed reading, puzzle books, and knitting. She married Gerald Stanley January 8, 1963.
Rachel leaves behind her husband Gerald Sr.`, children Gerald Stanley Jr., Mary Stanley, and Wilbur Stanley, grandchildren Dustin, Elizabeth, and Tommy, brother Kenneth Casey, and sisters Frances Mora, Mary “Saul” Roberts, and twins Linda and Brenda Smart.
Rachel was reunited in Heaven with her parents, brothers Bill “Bub” Casey and Mike Casey, and sister Alma Scroggins.
Services to celebrate Rachel’s life will be 2 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be directed to the family in c/o Gerald Stanley.
