Ralph Nelson Trump's Obituary
Ralph Nelson Trump, 78, of Decatur, passed away June 9, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Ralph was born March 25, 1936 in Decatur, IL, the son of Charles and Julia (Marshall) Trump. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was a member of the American Legion. He worked for the Illinois Central Railroad retiring in 1998 after 40 years of service. He had a passion for gardening and farmed Christmas Trees. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with the grandchildren. He married Anna Sigler on June 21, 1958 in Decatur, IL. They shared 55 wonderful years together.
Ralph leaves behind his daughters, Sherry (Billy) Callicoat of Atoka, OK; Rachelle (Bob) Frazier of Decatur, IL; brother, George (Blanche) Trump of Decatur, IL; sister, Clarissia Trump of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Jennifer, Billy Jr., Toby, Lane, Kyle, Emma, and Ragen; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jesse Trump; and beloved nephew, Ronnie Trump.
Services to celebrate Ralph’s life will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Forsyth, IL. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery.
The family will like to give special thanks to Dr. Pabalate and the always caring staff at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Thanks to Pastor Hafermann for all of his support. A very special thanks to Kim and Rick for all their help and care they have given.
