Randall L. Hammer's Obituary
Randall L. Hammer, 48, of Decatur passed away at 1:35 pm Monday January 30, 2006 in his home.
Gathering of Family and friends will be from 5-7 pm Friday February 03, 2006 in Prairie Avenue Christian Church in Decatur. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests giving memorials to the Macon County Mental Health Department or Multiple Sclerosis Society. Burial will take place at a later date in Florida. Moran & Goebel Funeral Home is assisting the Hammer family with these arrangements.
Randy was born on December 22, 1957 the son of Carl Roger and Glenda Hammer. He graduated from Mt. Zion High School and Southern Illinois University. He worked for Daimler-Chrysler Auto Manufacturing in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church. He was an avid fisherman, talented artist, car enthusiast, and owned Streets Neat Parts and Accessories.
Randy is survived by his father, Carl Roger Hammer of Florida, mother Glenda of California, step-mother; Betty of Texas; sisters; Jodi Garner husband, Dave and Aliecia Streeter husband, Rick both of Florida; three nieces, Amanda, Emilie and Tessa; Uncle Billy and Aunt Mary Jo Hammer of Cerro Gordo, special friend, Jill of Macomb; Todd and Mary Hooker, their children, Allie, Ashton, Zach, Anna, and Luke and Marla Kay Russell.
