Rankin Duckworth's Obituary
Rankin Duckworth, 95, of Decatur, was called home Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Generations at McKinley Court in Decatur.
Rankin was born October 12, 1923, in Brownsville, TN to Hosie and Addie (Cobbs) Duckworth, Sr. He married Minnie Perkin in July of 1968. She passed away May 20, 2006. Rankin loved to garden and hunt, but most of all spending time with his family
He is survived by one son, Alfred (Geneva) Taylor of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Claudine Wilson of Leland, MS; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; special niece, Annie Brady; and very special friends, Red and Charlie T. White.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers and two sisters.
Homegoing services to celebrate the life of Rankin Duckworth will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2019 at New Salem Baptist Church 352 W Wood St, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church before the service. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.
