We went to school together along with working together at Heritage DMHC, and he would always call me his buddy. He was a very special person and always had a smile on his face. Raven was one of the nicest guys that I have ever met in my life. I had the pleasure of getting to meet him and get to know him while he worked at USA-CLEAN as a Customer Representative from April 2002 Ã?â??ââ?¬â?? May 2003, after which time he left to pursue his new and exciting career with Taco Bell. I was sad to see him go because he was my friend and I knew that the work place wouldnÃ?â??ââ?¬â?¢t be quite the same without him there, but I was also proud of him for taking such a leap of faith to improve his future. He enjoyed his jobs at USA-CLEAN, Taco Bell, and others because he was certainly a people person and loved talking with and interacting with people. He was never too busy to talk to people for he was deeply interested in them and their lives. He was a true gentleman. Raven was a man that you could talk to about anything and he would listen to you and give you solid, sound advice. I had several talks like that with him. He always took the time to laugh, smile, and joke with you and was the type of person that you felt good and comfortable with him around. I know Raven is in Heaven today because of his choice to accept Jesus Christ into his life while he was with us here on earth. He was a great example of what a man should be both relationally to people and spiritually with his Heavenly Father. This world would be a much greater place if we had more people in it like Raven who had the special ability to touch and impact countless lives. Thank you my man Raven for all the wonderful memories that you gave to all of us and you will be greatly missed by all who knew you. I had the pleasure of knowing Raven first as a supervisor at the old Decatur Mental Health Center and then as a friend. I respected and liked Raven. I would periodicaly run into him around town and we would chat and always end up laughing. I had the pleasure of introducing my youngest son to him just during the last year. I am sorry for your loss. I will miss Raven. I am sorry that I found out too late to attend his homecoming services. I will miss Raven with all my heart. We worked together at DMHC, he always treated me with kindness, he always had a big hug for me when I was down and a smile for me every morning. He treated me like glass when I was pregnant with Melissa, who is now 12 yrs old and not long ago he told her how beautiful she turned out. RAVEN! RAVEN! RAVEN! I will miss you so much! Well I can still see his wonderful bright smile til this day! Raven was like a father figure to me and I wouldn't be able to handle the daily pressures of life if he wouldn't of pounded many words of wisdom into my brain! I owe my life to him! Raven~ I will never forget the times that you were in the office at Taco Bell talking on the phone and I would sneak up behind you and put little yellow dots on your head, and then finally you would notice what I was doing and yell at me! Raven will truly be missed to say the least. Many memories and laughs have not been forgotten, but this is a sad way to remember. It seems that not long ago that Raven was watching my cousin Tasha and I, and we watched a movie about a house ruled by gorillas that scared us so much. I know I will never forget that and am sure Tasha won't either. We didn't have much time together while I was growing up, but the times we did have were always a joy. He brought smiles into a room and laughter into everyone. I miss everyone back at home and I am sorry that I am unable to attend the services, but know that I miss Raven alot and I won't forget him.
