Regina Bryson's Obituary
Regina Bryson, 71, of Decatur, died September 15, 2007 at 9:36 PM in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Homegoing services will be 11 AM Saturday, September 22, 2007, in House of Faith Church of God in Christ, 1819 N. Clinton, Decatur. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Regina was born July 31, 1936, to the union of B.T. and Jennie B. Taylor in Brownsville TN. She moved to Toledo, OH in 1952 where she met Judas B. Bryson, and they were married December 8, 1955. Unto this union five children were born.
In 1971 Regina moved to Decatur, IL. She worked at Aramark until her retirement. Mama was very well known in the community and was loved by many people who crossed her path. Mama was a fun loving person who kept you laughing at all times and knew when we were down and knew how to lift us up with her encouraging words. She was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. Regina will be missed by many but not forgotten.
Regina leaves to cherish fond memories, two daughters: Judy Bryson Lowell and Teresa Bryson; three sons: Jerry Sr., Lee Sr, and Jerome Sr. Mary all of Decatur; three sisters: Rebecca Transou of Decatur, Katherine Gray of Jackson, TN, and Laverne Raymond Pewitt of Denmark, TN; one brother, L.V. Taylor and uncle, Willie D. Clark, both of Decatur, uncle, Jeff Green of Brownsville, TN; one aunt, Florence Anderson of Toledo, OH; twenty grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Regina was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, and two brothers.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their deep sympathy, phone calls, prayers, and visits. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
