Renee was a good friend to me ever since we were principals together in the Springfield Diocese in the 1990's. We would quickly share our joys and sorrows each time we saw each other over the years. I will grieve her loss for a long time. Love, Sr. M.Clare
Renee was a vibrant member of the Black Catholic Ministry during the years I worked at the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois. She contributed great ideas and was a wonderful example of what it means to be a follower of Jesus. I am grateful to have known her and send my prayers and sympathy to the family.

Tom, you, your children and grandchildren are in my prayers. I am so sorry that I am unable to attend Renee's funeral service. As a result of a ruptured disc in my back in December 2019, I have been primarily wheelchair dependent ever since and housebound except for medical appointments. I am so very happy that I was able to speak with Renee via telephone a few weeks ago. She was in such good spirits it was hard to believe how ill she was. Renee was a treasured friend who I will miss dearly. I am praying that you and your family will be comforted by fond memories of Renee and that God will grant you peace. Sending love and hugs.
