Richard Dart was my student, my 'go to' guy who could fix anything, my colleague and Homework Hangout, and a dear friend. He lived with great integrity, and believed in giving his best effort, which was so much beyond the norm.
He genuinely cared about everyone and wanted to make each person's life better. I am certainly better for having known him. I am blessed with many great memories in the brief few years I knew him. Those memories will live forever.
My prayers are with his mom and his family who loved him so much. The world was better with him in it. No doubt heaven is now better with him there.

Uncle Richard,

I'm saddened to hear about your passing but I know you are no longer fighting your battles and that you are in a better place! No more pain or constantly struggling to keep fighting. You was a good man and I'm sorry I couldn't be there to say my final good byes to you but I did write a poem for you! I love you Uncle Richard fly high now and be at peace and watch over Grandma Marcia and my dad please! I know. I will never forget you to me you was a good caring man and you didn't deserve all the pain and the battles you fought!
The weary fight is over now,
The pain has found its end.
Your body is at peace, dear Uncle,
A comfort to us, my friend.
We find our solace in your rest,
A calm and gentle sleep.

I used to babysit for Richard and his other brothers and sisters. I recall an incident when he was on crutches, he could move on them so fast! RIP Richard. You will be missed 😢 💔
