Richard E. Fromm's Obituary
Decatur-Richard Fromm, 81, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 in his home with his family by his side.
Richard was born July 6, 1931in Moweaqua, Illinois, the son of Lester and Lucy Mae (Cutler) Fromm. He proudly served his country in U.S. Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was a computer supervisor with Illinois Power retiring after forty-one years of service. He was a member of Ss James and Patrick Parrish Community. He was an avid bowler and Cardinal fan and enjoyed gardening and traveling. He married Margaret Buck May 22, 1954.
He leaves behind his wife Margaret, son Joseph and wife Kamisha from Warrensburg, daughter Mary Fromm of Decatur, grandchildren David Fromm, Angela Reynolds and husband George, Mary Jo Fromm, Kristin Howell, Dillon Pryde, and Brianna Cowser, and great-grandchildren Haylee Reynolds, Braydon Reynolds-Fromm, and Heaven Fromm.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and sister Jean Barry.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Richard and Margaret's and life will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 in St. James Catholic Church, 742 E. Clay St. Decatur, with Father John Burnette Celebrant. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home with a Vigil prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Macon County Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed Carol Jo Vecchie Women and Children Center, 800 E. Carpenter St. Springfield, IL 62702.
