Richard "Dick" Jacobs' Obituary
Richard “Dick” Jacobs, 80, of Bloomington, formerly of Decatur, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, at Bickford of Bloomington.
Dick was born December 8, 1940, in Decatur, IL to Harold and Marie (Clark) Jacobs. He married Judith Ann Boland on January 3, 1959 in Decatur, IL. She passed away on October 2, 2013. Dick was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, country dancing and coaching baseball little league when his son was younger.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana (Vern) Leischner of Monticello and his son, Kenneth Jacobs of Bloomington; six grandchildren, Curtis (Karlie) Leischner, Lauren (Andy) Hegg, Joshua Jacobs, Justin Jacobs, Aaron Jacobs and Sarah Jacobs; two great-grandchildren, Tatum Leischner and Brynlie Leischner; and his brother, Robert (Nancy) Jacobs of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Judith.
Graveside services will be private.
