Richard Dale Lowe's Obituary
Richard D. Lowe, 58, of Decatur, U.S. Air Force Veteran, died Thursday, June 25, 2009.
Graveside service will be 12 noon, Monday, June 29, 2009, in Camp Butler National Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Macon County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home.
Richard was born August 22, 1950, son of Donald E. and Margaret B. Musgrave Lowe. He served his country proudly as a Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force in Guam during the Vietnam War. He married Marilyn Headlee on July 7, 1979, and was happily married for almost 30 years. He was a mechanic for over 20 years. Richard was an avid bingo player, also enjoyed playing cards, watching his T.V., and spending time at the AIW Hall. He was a loving husband and father, and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are his loving wife, Marilyn; one son, Jonathan Lowe; one daughter, Misty Lowe; father, Donald Lowe; one brother, Donald Alan Lowe; three sisters, Diane Little; Corine Lowe; Dorine Lowe; one grandson, Cobi; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Max.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and one brother, Virgil Lowe.
