Richard Dee Warrick's Obituary
Richard Dee Warrick, 82, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018, in Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Mt. Zion.
He was born June 13, 1936, in Kenney, IL to Dee Monroe and Margaret Helen (Todd) Warrick. He married Judith Stephens on May 30, 1971 in Decatur. Richard was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was also a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judith; five children, Todd (Cindy) Warrick of Jacksonville, IL, Douglas Warrick of Springfield, IL, Dawn (Neil) Blissard of St. Joseph, IL, Deena Warrick of Decatur, IL and Jodi (Aaron) Barbagallo of Festus, MO; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Warrick of Decatur, IL and John (Rita) Warrick of Mahomet, IL; and two sisters, Helen Warrick and Margaret Warrick both of Decatur, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard D. Warrick, Jr and one granddaughter, Karen Rew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Kenney. Memorials may be directed to Holy Family Catholic Church Scholarship Fund.
