Rivers Coleman's Obituary
Rivers Coleman 83 of Decatur died Wednesday March 28, 2007 in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home.
Homegoing services will be 12:00 pm Tuesday April 3, 2007 in Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Edd Jackson officiating. Visitation will be one prior to service in the church. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park.
Rivers was born on January 18, 1924 in Brownsville, TN the daughter of Louis and Lula Hawthorn Estes. She was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Homemaker. She married Tillman Coleman in 1942 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on January 31, 2006.
She leaves to not mourn but cherish fond memories her sons, Roy Coleman and wife Darlene of Decatur; and Earl Coleman of Memphis, TN; sisters-in-law, Versie Coleman of Decatur; Gladis Coleman of Ripley TN; Sally Coleman of Ripley, TN; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters, and four brothers.
The family of Rivers Coleman has entrusted their care to Moran & Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2801 N. Monroe Street.
