Robert L. ”Big Flinn” Flinn, 56 of Decatur, passed from this life on Monday February 03, 2003.
Homegoing services will be 11 A.M. Friday, February 07, 2003 in St. Peter’s A.M.E. Church with Rev. George A. Coates officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church. Services entrusted to J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
”Flinn” was born in Mobile Alabama on June 25, 1946 the son of Neal and Elnora Fox Flinn. A member of St. Peter’s A.M.E. Church, Flinn worked as Line Serviceman for PPG for 10 years. He married Annie K. Currie on May 25, 1968 in Decatur.
He leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories, his wife and parents all of Decatur; sons, Robert A. Flinn and Marcus A. Flinn both of Decatur; daughters, Tina Flinn, Jackqueline Flinn, and Chastity Flinn all of Decatur; brother, Jimmy Flinn Joyce of Decatur; sisters, Rosemary Vacca Donald of Peoria, Geneal Williams Harvey, and Erma Flinn all of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Robert Earl Flinn and Willie Flinn.
