Bob was a true gentleman, and we were very saddened to hear of his passing. Our prayers and condolences go out to Della and the rest of the Wesselink family.
Robert was a great man who will be missed. I remember seeing him with his family every Sunday at Our Lady of Lourdes; and his boys at the school. When I was very young, I drove with my Dad on the new I-72, and as we talked about the new interstate, and appreciated the smooth white concrete, he told me that Mr. Wesselink's engineering company had worked on that project.Later, I was fortunate to work at BWC and talk to Bob on occasion. He was retired at that point, so I didn't see him much. He told me about his boys, and how well they were all doing with their careers. Bob made the Decatur area better place while he was active in the community. My condolences go out to his wife and children.

Such a huge part of my childhood memories revolve around growing up across the street from the Wesselink family. From riding bikes and swimming lessons, to hours at the pool and playing in the sand box, and improvising almost any sport in your back yard. Bob, thank you for having the patience to teach Steve and I how to water ski on Lake Decatur. It is a time like this that I wish I lived much closer and could share my condolences in person. Thinking of you.Cheryl (Nalefski) Pflueger

Bob hired me back in 1978 when I graduated from ITT. Work At BWC for 2 gaining valuable experience and work with Bob on many projects after I left the company. He is where I learned my civil engineering skills from. He will be greatly missed.John Gribler
Worked at Blank and Wesselink from 1979 to 1982. As I sit here thinking of what to type, it hit me that I called Mr. Blank, " Mr. Blank", and Mr. Wesselink, I called "Bob". Mr. Blank was the bark of the company and Bob was the purr. He was a good and kind Christian man, and he made my workplace enjoyable. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.Janet Atteberry
Bob and I were good friends at the YMCA. He was very proud of his children and I listened to glowing descriptions about all of you. Bob was an inspiration to me in how he kept himself fit. When I drive through his engineered road intersection (Pershing and Twenty Second), I think of him. My condolences, Jim Foster
