Robert Wilson Doty's Obituary
Robert Wilson Doty, 91, of Decatur, IL passed away December 5, 2023, at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.
Robert was born May 16, 1932, in Beecher City, IL, the son of Wilson Robert and Florine Doty. He was a veteran of the USAF. He married Sharon Roarick on December 22, 1962.
Following his military service, he worked for A.E. Staley, retiring as a supervisor.
Robert enjoyed traveling abroad and playing poker. He further enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children, Starla Kaufman of Argenta, IL, Robert Lynn Doty (Tammy) of Rueter, MO, Krista Dalton of Pensacola, FL; siblings, David Doty (Karen) of Harristown, IL, Clifford Doty of Decatur, IL, Kenneth Doty of Florida; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents; wife, Sharon; sons, Randy Doty, and Roger Doty; brothers Lou Doty and Lester Doty and sisters, Faye Batson, and Louise Davis.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday December 8, 2023, at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Friday, December 8, 2023, at the funeral home.
The burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park.
