Robert "Bob" Francis Nalefski's Obituary
Decatur – Robert “Bob” Francis Nalefski, 94, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Imboden Creek Living Center.
Bob was born May 17, 1924, in Decatur, the son of Frederick and Callie (Ray) Nalefski. A member of Ss. James and Patrick Parish, Bob liked to fish and worked as a tool and dye maker for G.E. He married Betty J. Floyd on July 10, 1948 in Decatur and she preceded him in death on May 12, 1978. Also preceding him in death were his parents, son Bobby Alan Nalefski, three brothers and ten sisters.
Surviving are his children: David (Robin) Nalefski of TN, Jenny (Jim) Batman of FL, Judy (John) Smick of Moweaqua, Becky (Bobby) Holmes of Decatur, and Karen (Gary) Bonnough of FL; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be 1 pm, Friday October 19, 2018 at St. James Catholic Church, 742 E Clay St, Decatur, IL 62521. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to Ss. James and Patrick Parish.
