Robert Dale Henson's Obituary
Robert Dale “Ike” Henson, 75, of Ivesdale, Illinois, formerly of Decatur, passed away December 7, 2025, at UI Health Center in Indianapolis, IN.
Ike was born in Decatur on May 13, 1950, the son of Robert and Virginia (Stout) Henson. He married Catherine Pride on October 25, 1986, in Largo, FL. Ike served proudly and honorably in the United States Marines. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, turtling, coon hunting, and gardening. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Ike is survived by his wife Catherine; children Michael West, Lisa (Daniel Hart) Ring, Timothy Hendricks, Virginia (Robert) Garrett, Theresa Henson, and Robert Henson; sisters Barb (Rick) Hartman and Maxine Schwartz; grandchildren Sean (Jen) Wellman, Kristen Wellman, Austin, Phoenix, Raine, Timmy, Richie Abigail, Lelaini, Jade Henson, Savanna Garrett, Robert Garrett, and Dylan Garrett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, several siblings including twin brother Mike Henson, and granddaughter Serenity.
Services for Ike will be held on Friday, December 12, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will begin and 2pm and will be followed by a service at 3pm. Condolences may be shared with the family at https://www.moranandgoebel.com.
