Robert D. Miller 61 of Decatur died Saturday July 3, 2004 at 4:10 am in Heritage Manor Care Center Mt. Zion.
Memorial Liturgy celebrating his life will be 11 am Saturday July 10, 2004 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, where Father James O'Shea will be celebrant.; visitation will be in the funeral home from 9:00 to service time. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment of cremains will be immediately following the service in Mount Zion Cemetery. Robert was born in Decatur on October 5, 1942, the son of Floyd M. and Julia L. Hood Miller. He worked as a laborer for Inter-met Foundry for many years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Robert was an avid Cardinal Baseball Fan and University of Illinois Fan. During his teenage years, he sang in the Riverside Baptist Church Boy Chorus.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Nicholas Miller of Springfield, two brothers; Don Miller of Quincy and Rick Miller, several nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by both his parents, son Andrew.
