Robert T. Mills' Obituary
Robert Bob T. Mills was born August 18, 1945 in Brownsville, TN to the late Jim Clark and Beatrice Mills. He passed away on Thursday afternoon October 21, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
After attending Carver High School in Haywood County Tennessee, Robert left Brownsville, TN to pursue opportunities in Decatur, IL. After acquiring several tradesman skills, Bob worked at Wagner’s Castings for 31 dedicated years until he decided to retire in 2005.
Robert’s heart was into being a dedicated husband and a providing father. His passion for cooking was evident to anyone who ever ate at his dinner table. And his love for baseball goes back to his childhood.
He married Susan Shaw in 1995. To this union, one child was born. Robert leaves not to mourn, but to cherish fond memories: a wife, Susan Mills; sons, Robert T. Decatur, IL; Corey Mills Sr. Indianapolis, IN; Keith Mills Arlington, VA; daughters, Angela Mason Bloomington, IL; Latrisha Hardamon Decatur, IL; brothers, Hubert Gene Red Mills Decatur, IL; William Henry Ruff Mills Peoria, IL; sisters, Daisy Mills Brownsville, TN; Mary Miner Brownsville, TN; Bertha Ligon Brownsville, TN; Earlene Moore and Merlyn Moore both of Saginaw, MI; and Azzie Ezell Taylor Mansfield, OH; three special aunts, Ida Lake, Doris Lawrence and Buelah Currie, also eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Jim Clark Kidd Boomie Mills, and one sister, Catherine Moore.
Homegoing service celebrating the life of Robert Bob T. Mills will be 11:00 am Friday, October 29, 2010 in House of Faith Church of God in Christ, 1819 N. Clinton, Decatur, IL with Bishop Hugh E. Cawthon officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 ' 8:00 pm Thursday in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
