Robert Monska's Obituary
Robert Ray Monska, 40, of Decatur, IL passed away August 23, 2023 at his residence.
Robert was born January 16, 1983 in Decatur, IL, the son of Frederick and Barbara (Reid) Monska.
He married Becky Hendrickson on May 8, 2010 in Decatur, IL.
Robert had worked as a chef and had a love for cooking. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He held a special love for his dogs as he was an animal lover at heart. He enjoyed hunting and made several fishing trips to Canada with his Dad and brother.
Surviving are his wife, Becky; both of his parents, Frederick and Barbara Monska; brother, Fred Monska (Heather) of Assumption, IL; sister, Annette Collins of Decatur, IL; and nieces and nephews, Trent Collins (Bailey), Hayley Monska, Autumn Comer (Tristen), Dylan Monska and great niece Charlee Collins.
Robert was preceded in death by his , grandmothers, Eleanor Maxwell and Melva Reid.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Entombment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Star of Hope Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM at the church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Illinois English Bulldog Rescue.
