Robert L. Spracklen's Obituary
Robert L. Spracklen, 82, of Decatur died Wednesday January 6, 2010 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Robert was born in Shelbyville, IL on May 7, 1927 the son of Grover and Grace Austin Spracklen. He was a member of Central Christian Church. He was a retired forklift driver from Caterpillar. He served his country proudly in the US Navy and US Army National Guard. He married Eleanor Daggett on December 26, 1979 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor, sons, Bob Spracklen Linda of Camargo; Steven Kent Spracklen of Shelbyville; daughters, Claudia Allen George of Villa Grove; Angela Adams Carl of Rockville, IN; step-son, Jeff Camp Cheryl of Decatur; step-daughter, Lori Mellon of Decatur; special friend, Kenneth Hederick of Decatur; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many special, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter.

Memorial service will be 1:00 pm Saturday January 9, 2010 in Central Christian Church, 650 W. Williams Street, Decatur with Rev. Charles Watkins officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to Central Christian Church.
