Robert E. Swinehart's Obituary
Robert E. "Bob" Swinehart, 58, of Decatur, died on Fri, Mar. 30, 2007, in his home.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 2 pm Tues, Apr. 10, 2007, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton. A memorial service celebrating Bob's life will be held at 3:30 pm Tues, Apr. 10, 2007 at Bethel Bible Church, Pastor Jack Greenwood officiating. A time of fellowship will immediately follow the service at the church. Memorials gifts: Robert E. Swinehart Memorial Fund.
Bob was born July 2, 1948 in Peoria, the son of Almon E. and Dorothy A. Brown Williams. A 1966 graduate of Warrensburg High School and a Marine Corp Veteran, Bob worked at Wagner/Intermet for 36 years. He was a union millwright and served two terms as president of the PACE Local # 6-728. He dearly loved his family and friends. He also loved the Marine Corp, Nascar, NY Mets, Chicago Bulls and Bears and the Illini. Bob married Kay D. Perry on Sept. 23, 1995 in Warrensburg.
Surviving is his wife, Kay of Decatur; son, Timothy John Swinehart of Silvis, daughters: Wendy Kay Wenskunas-Dorn of Silvis and Shanna Marie Stevens of Decatur; mother, Dorothy Williams of Latham; father, Almon Swinehart of Eureka; four grandchildren; brother, Tom Beth Williams of Latham; sisters: Marianna Frank Deutsch of AZ, Rosie Ken Colombraro of NY, Kathy Williams-Hjort of Rantoul; special friends: Dean Reedy, Denny, Schum and Velma Madison, his other mom; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
