Priscilla Palmer Seay
Dear Sandy – Sorry that I haven't contacted you before reading the obituary of Roger. I remember when you two were seeing each other in our younger years. Some how I knew that you two would end up together and I'm glad that you did. As you may remember, Jim Seay and I dated for awhile, but did not see each other for several years. He finished his education at IL State University and got a job teaching English and Drama in the Champaign Public Schools. In the mean time, I dated and was married to Jack McNulty (his family owned McNulty's Restaurant which was downtown and is no more) and were married for four years. Jack was an abusive alcoholic and I took his abuses for four years too long. I then moved back to Yorkville, my original hometown and lived up there for 11 years. I became active in community theatre up there and was sent to Champaign-Urbana for a director's workshop and wondered if Jim Seay was still in the area. When I got home to Yorkville that evening, I called the 217 area code and found out that Jim lived in Mahomet, IL. I called his number and we got back together again and have been married 27 wonderful years. Jim retired from teaching in the Champaign Public School System and I retired as a secretary from the Department of Community Health at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are now back living in Springfield and have renewed and made new friendships. It is great being back here.We certainly hope that Roger did not suffer too long. He was too nice of a guy to go through any suffering. You and the rest of your family are definitely in our prayers. May God bless and be with all of you.Love from some old friends,Jim and Priscilla Palmer Seay332 Norwalk RoadSpringfield, IL 62704-1288(217) 726-6683E-Mail: [email protected]
