Roger Dean Dick's Obituary
Roger Dean Dick, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Decatur, IL.
He was born on October 12, 1941, in Bethany, IL, a son of the late Robert Dick and Geraldine Creek Dick. Roger graduated from Lovington High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. For 35 years, he worked at Decatur Auto Parts, Inc., specializing in transport and salvage.
When he wasn’t in the garage at work, Roger was often in the garage at home, always having a new project to work on. He loved racing cars and riding motorcycles, taking many long-distance rides to Texas and back. He also enjoyed going camping and relaxing around the bonfire with his loved ones.
Roger was always the life of the party. He loved to gather with his family and friends, especially if he could host. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Dick, in 2002; grandson, Timothy Dick; brothers, Richard Dick and Charles Dick; and two sisters, Shirley Myers and Tina Dick.
Those left to cherish his memory include: wife, Staci Dick; children, Roger Dick and wife Sonia, Michael Dick and wife Rachel, Michael Bournias, Dorothy Reed, Sherri Dick, Marissa Gibbens and husband Caleb, and Maddison Bournias; sister, Louise Kellis and husband Randy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; mother-in-law, Mary Harding; siblings-in-law, Traci Griffin and Todd Harding; many more nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including close friends Jerry Godsey and Clyde Schwengel; and very best friend, his beloved cat, Callie.
Special thanks to Haley Rogers for her love and care.
