Roger L. Gall's Obituary
Roger L. Gall, 81, of Decatur, died June 10, 2007 in his home.
Funeral services celebrating Roger’s life will be at 11:30am Wednesday, June 13, 2007 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Memorial gifts are suggested to Carle Hospice.
Mr. Gall was born on May 18, 1926 in New Boston MO, the son of Rudolph and Hazel McCollum Gall. He worked as a truck driver. Roger was a member of the Teamsters Local 279. He was a US Navy veteran serving in WWII. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and slot machines. He married Karen Constant on September 1, 1994 in Decatur, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Karen Gall of Decatur; one son, Kevin Gall of Washington; three daughters, Jeanine Morgensen and companion Larry of Pekin; Kathy Copeland and husband Larry of Decatur; and Patricia Jackson and husband Paul of Washington; two step-sons, Tony Kile and wife Shelbi of Decatur; Ted Dilley and wife Areli of Springfield; one step-daughter, Kimberly Kile and son Tony of Oklahoma City, OK;
two adopted sons, Dayne Kile and Jordan Kile both of Decatur; one adopted daughter, Kierstine Kile of Decatur; one brother, Dale Gall and wife Mary of Biggesville; 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two nephews, his caregivers, Robin Constant and Cassandra Wade, and his hospice nurse, Lisa Wallis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and former wife, Lorraine Gall.
