Ronald C. Clendenen 67 of Oreana died Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral service celebrating Ron’s life will be 10:00 am Tuesday May 6, 2008 in Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5:00 ' 7:00 pm Monday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery. Memorials gifts are suggested to the Cancer Care Specialist or Homeward Bound Pet Shelter.
Ron was born on February 9, 1941 in Decatur the son of David Theodore and Maude Scammahorn Clendenen Sr. He retired from Mueller Company in 2002 after forty years of service. He married Judith Anderson on November 14, 1986 in Memphis, TN.
Surviving are his wife, Judy; children, Ricky Clendenen of Decatur; Michael Clendenen Gail of Decatur; Rhonda Thomas Sam of Decatur; Wendy Blurton Jack of Altamont; Corey Clendenen Cindy of Mattoon; step-sons, Todd Nailer Brenda of Niantic; Troy Nailer Lori of Argenta; brother, Joseph Clendenen of Decatur; sisters, Jeanette Hoff of Decatur; Linda Price Ron of Springfield; twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Ted Clendenen Jr., two sisters, Rosalie Richardson and Ruth Goldtrap.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wade and staff for all their excellent care. They would also like to thank the nurses at DMH 5100.
