Ronald L. Cobren, Sr.'s Obituary
Ronald L. Cobren, Sr., 70, of Decatur, died Friday, January 30, 2009 in his home with his loving family by his side.
Ronald was born July 13, 1938 in Jacksonville to Raymond and Dorothy Doolin Cobren. He was married to Sally Maggert for 34 years. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. He also enjoyed fishing and gambling. He was a member of A.A., and recently celebrated his 29th birthday with the fellowship. He was retired from Coca Cola and Lovelace Truck Service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sally; children, Ronald Cobren, Jr. Betty; Rodney Cobren; T.J. Cobren Christina; Neal Cobren Elizabeth; Amber Cobren; six grandchildren, including Dillon, Dustin and Cassie; two sisters, Patty Barry Irwin of Marion, IN; and Jacky Jensen Melvin of Jonesboro, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm, Monday, February 2, 2009, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, also in the funeral home, with Huey Connour and Chaplin Gibby Gibson officiating. Burial will take place in Boiling Springs Cemetery.
