Ronald E. Gillibrand's Obituary
Ronald E. Gillibrand, 52 of Decatur, entered into eternal life on Saturday Feb. 08, 2003 in his home.
Funeral Mass will be 10 A.M. Wednesday February 12, 2003 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Rick Weltin officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 P.M. Tuesday in the church, Vigil Prayer Service at 7 P.M. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: Todd Gillibrand Educational Fund, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or School.
Ron was born on January 09, 1951 in Decatur the son of Wilburn E. and Myreta Jennings Gillibrand. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur Chordsman Barbershop, and the Service Employee Union #73. Ron was employed as a Locksmith for the Decatur Public Schools for 18 years. He proudly served our country in the Navy on the USS Constellation. Ron married Cheryl A. Riedel on October 29, 1977 in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife; son, Todd Gillibrand fiance-Heather of Champaign; stepmother, Betty L. Gillibrand of Decatur; brother, Thomas B. Gillibrand; sister-in-law, Sharon Taylor Michael of Decatur; cousin, Robert Burdick Donna of Charlotte N.C.; 4 nieces, 1 nephew, and many many friends.
His parents preceded him in death.
