Ronnie Giles' Obituary
Ronnie L. “TACO” Giles was called home Monday, November 1, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
Ronnie worked on oil rigs for many years and was employed with All-Tri R for a long time. His last few years were spent helping anyone he could. He did odd and end jobs: Morse Driveways, Industrial Rubber, and Meyers Landscaping are a few places that he helped out at. Ronnie was always a hard worker and always ready to give a helping hand to those in need.
Ronnie is survived by two sons: Roger and Chester Giles, three step-children: John Sinnard, Holly Mettcalf, and Lacy Panchot, sisters: Phyllis Golden, Pam McCoy, Connie Lewie Harvey all of Decatur, brother: Roger Giles of Texas; one grandchild, Chester Lee Giles, many nieces and nephews, his special friend: Terry Logue, and half-sister, Brenda Robinson of Indiana. .
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, and one brother.
He will be dearly missed by everyone, yet at the same time comfort is also shared knowing that he is at peace and no longer suffering.
Memorial service will be 6:00 pm Friday, November 5, 2010 in Morningside Chapel Church of Christ. Visitation will be one hour before service in the church. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Casual attire is requested by the family.
