Rosalie M. Curtis' Obituary
Rosalie M. Curtis, 85, of Decatur, IL, passed away, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, with her family by her side at Vonderlieth Living Center.
Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Friday January 5, 2024, at Moran and Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
Daughter of Walter and Dorothy Hughes, Rose was born in Decatur, IL on December 26, 1937. She married Paul Curtis in 1968. They raised ten children in their blended family. Her parents and sister, Patricia Collins, stepdaughter, Cheryl Curtis Mayberry, and stepsons, Ronnie Curtis and Anthony Curtis preceded her in death.
Rose was a homemaker and later worked for Grigoleit and Curtis Appliances. She finished her career as a Registered Nurse employed by several long-term care facilities.
Surviving are her brothers, Jim Hughes, Indianapolis, IN; Walter Hughes (Linda) of Macon; sons, Rodney Hunt (Shelley) of Decatur, IL; Bill Hunt (Jody) of Decatur, IL; Royce Hunt (Misti) of Clarksville, TN; daughters Rebecca Hollingshead of Decatur, IL; and Rose Parkerson (Norman) of Clarksville, TN; stepdaughters, Sandi Beckler, of Decatur, IL; and Vonnie Hoffman (Jay), Savanah, GA. She loved a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Nurse Rose’s extended family at Vonderlieth Living Center, Mt. Pulaski for their compassionate care during her recent illness.
