Rose Lane's Obituary
Decatur-Rose Lane, 86, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Rose was born August 16, 1925 in Oxford, Mississippi, the daughter of Hanson and Mabel Campbell Reed. She was previously employed in the laundry department at DMH retiring after twenty-five years of service. She enjoyed watching television especially the Price is Right.
She leaves behind her son Robert Sharif and wife Evelyn of Decatur, grandson U.S. Army Major Larry L. Sharif and wife Rayetta of Jolon, California, granddaughter Ayesha B. Lowe of Suffolk, Virginia, great-grandchildren Rakia, Deandre, Kianna, and Darius, and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Muhammad Khan, Dr. Ahmad Ahmad, and Dr. Mario Velasco and staff with Cancer Care Specialist of Central Illinois. Also a special thanks to the staff at Eagle Ridge and Fair Havens Christian Home for their kindness.
