Rosemary Leonard's Obituary
Decatur-Rosemary Leonard, 83, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Rosemary was born July 15, 1930 in Macon, Illinois, the daughter of Albert and Rose Lee (Daniels) Myers. She retired from RD McMillen Enterprises and was also previously employed with Kelly Potato Chips, and the Best Western Hotel. She was a member of Resurrection Life Church and loved her church and church family. She was a hard worker that loved to clean and do crossword puzzles. She married Russell W. Leonard July 10, 1946 in Taylorville. He preceded her in death October 11, 2007.
Rosemary leaves behind her children Robert W. Leonard and wife Vicki of Salem, Dean Leonard and wife Millie of Decatur, and Judy Owens and husband Michael of Rocklin, California, seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and sister Lexie Cook of Moweaqua.
Rosemary was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, son David
Allen Leonard, sisters Wanda Workman, Alice Allen, Dorothy Kinkman, Alberta Taylor, and Lois Webb, and brothers John Myers, Paul Myers, and Corky Myers.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the loving staff at Eagle Ridge where she had many great friends.
Services to celebrate Rosemary’s life will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in South Macon Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Resurrection Life Church.
